res·0 — the seed
One boundary, an inward vector. The fewest marks that still mean contraction — one path a painter could draw.
A game of games.
01 · Premise
Explore The Cell is a game of games — 125 mini-games across 22 scales of reality, from Nothings to Infinities. Playing is zooming. Every scale is an enclosed container whose parts serve the whole, and the next scale up treats it exactly the same way.
That single idea is the whole design system. One kit of shared constants holds across every scale; a single thread runs through all 22, each surviving into the next. This document governs how every asset in the app is drawn and resolved — all of it programmatic, all of it built to cohere across 125 games.
02 · Constants
Four things never change from scale to scale. A strata may modulate its accent and motif on top of them — it never restyles them.
A boundary around a point. It recurs at every scale — an orbit, a membrane, a planet's ring — and is the reason the marks rhyme.
A dark warm ground — deep, panel, warm-white. The specimens glow against it like slides under a microscope lamp. Never a flat grey.
Orange → sienna → gold, with Go green for anything positive. The brand's constant warmth; the accent bench modulates around it.

Outfit — the body
Display for titles and scale names; Outfit for everything that moves. Two faces, no more.
03 · The Thread — the 22 scales
The scales are not 22 icons. They are one continuous line: each survives into the next, and each carries a way of thinking as well as a form. Read the spine downward.
Void
The empty ring — the boundary before anything.
The ring takes a point — the first mark, the first existent.
Quantum
The point sets to spinning — restless energy, known only by measurement.
The spin is captured in orbit — the first container.
Two containers bond — relation makes something new.
Bio · the home band
The bond gains a membrane — a working part, made for a job.
The membrane closes around a nucleus — the whole that holds its parts. The mark.
Cells tile into a fabric — identity shared across many.
The fabric shapes into a form with one job.
Organs branch into concert.
The system becomes an individual that acts.
Society
Individuals overlap into a web.
The web is cultivated — the human hand enters.
Cultivation links into flows of goods.
Flow abstracts into value, value into symbol.
Cosmic
The containment ring returns, at world scale — a body in orbit.
Bodies fall into the local law of a star.
Systems wind into the great spiral.
Galaxies string into a filament web — the ecosystem again, at the largest scale.
Infinity · everything at once
Frames within frames — every way it could have gone.
The great ring holds everything inside it.
The ring becomes the endless loop — which is the empty ring again.
The loop closes. Infinities returns to Nothings: the same open ring, empty and endless. The two poles are the same shape read two ways — the deepest expression of as above, so below.
04 · Resolution
Every asset climbs one ladder before it ships — worked here on tzimtzum, a Nothings-scale game whose essence is withdrawal to make space. Today it ships as a generic purple orb.
res·0 — the seed
One boundary, an inward vector. The fewest marks that still mean contraction — one path a painter could draw.
res·1 — the specimen
The seed made to live — the Void palette, an organic edge, an inner glow that reads as space opening. It shares its ring with the other Nothings.
res·2 — the live asset
Motion is the essence made temporal: the ring actually withdraws over the round. The Flutter runtime realization.
A seed becomes a specimen only when all five hold. Fewer, and it stays a seed.
05 · Application
The interface stays ink and warm-white so 125 games can each carry their own colour. Actions are pills; Go-green means forward; elevation is glow, never a drop shadow.

Molecule Mixer
Bond the right atoms, skip the rest. One accent per card — the scale's own.
06 · Governance
No runtime AI, ever. This is a game for kids. The app is a closed cell — the membrane is the network boundary, and nothing calls out. AI builds the games at the workbench; humans verify every lesson; kids just play.
Imperative and one line — "Eat, grow, dodge, stay alive." Always scales, never levels or worlds. Zoom is the verb of play.
Every asset is geometry a Flutter CustomPainter draws — no illustration. That is what makes one language repeat cleanly across 125 games.
Tone steps plus glow, never drop shadows. Light responds to touch — the microscope-lamp language. No perfect circles: every round form is hand-wobbled.
A new asset is drawn from its scale's seed, made to survive from the one before it, and passes the five-point gate before it ships.
